Although my furnace is old, it is in pretty good shape & runs excellent. Naturally, I always have trusted work from Munster Dyer for the past 30 years.
We felt it necessary to write to you about your employee that serviced our unit. His name is Bill Hicks. Bill cleaned & checked our furnace, and explained what he looks for, such as burned wiring, rusty or corroded areas which he pointed out to us, at the same time giving us pointers to keep a clean dust free house. Just some things we didn't realize, that are important to us. When Bill finished the job, everything was so clean, we didn't have to do anything.
Having worked in a steel industry for 37 years myself, & worked along various contractors, I can recognize when a job is well done. You have a big asset here with Bill Hicks.
Employees, such as Bill, make companies a success. We plan on telling all of our friends about the class workmanship you do.
I tell the corporate office how I feel, & I believe it's necessary for management to know.

Call this an unsolicited testimonial but I thought it worth the time and postage to make this comment in case there is someone in your future; a customer like me who debates with themselves about spending the extra money to purchase a furnace with a direct drive, variable speed fan motor over the old style belt driven fan.
Although I have not had enough winter temperatures to test its heating efficiency, I have noticed an improvement in its cooling efficiency. To make such a comparison you need to know that basically I have the same air conditioner unit as has been cooling this house for twenty rears. Yes your crew did install an "A" coil pan in the Thermo Pride unit but I was displeased that the size of the pan's opening was reduced to less than half the warm-air plenum's volume and removed the pan a few days later. It was not as easy a job as first thought.
With the warm air and return air plenum and the cooling unit exactly the same as it was with the old furnace, the only difference between the two units is the direct drive, variable speed fan assembly. With the old furnace and its belt driven fan I kept the thermostat at 78 or higher because a lower setting would run the air conditioner compressor continuously. With the new unit, 76 degrees is maintained day and night even in our scorching heat of this past weekend, with the digital thermostat set at 1 degree variance and a maximum of 6 cycles per hour. Even then, the air conditioner keeps the house comfortable and the cooling unit is resting more than it is working.
My conclusion therefore is improved efficiency of the cooling cycle is due solely to the greater volume of air flow produced by the direct drive, variable speed fan. Whether it will also save some kilowatt hours over the course of twelve months, as advertised is conjecture at this point. For the time being, it was a good choice and worth the added cost. Perhaps by this time next year I'll be able to make a similar comment about the heating cycle. Just thought you would appreciate my observations.

Just wanted to send you a quick note and let you know the new boilers appear to be working properly, and they look great. Your guys did a nice job on all the piping - everything appears neat and cleanly installed in fact, they did a nice job of cleaning up as well - I think the basement is cleaner now then when the first arrived.
I met the guys when I stopped for a few moments in to leave payment with them, at the time they were having some trouble with the thermostat for the 2nd floor They spent some time trouble-shooting the problem, and called me later to inform me the problem was solved. They were very personable and professional.
I have several other buildings that will soon/eventually require replacement of the heating systems, and I will be sure to get a quote from you before I hire the jobs out.

A second man came back when it failed to function a week later.
